Sustainable Climate Action Plan (SECAP) Workshop was held in Küçükçekmece.

SECAP – Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan workshop meeting was organized in cooperation with Küçükçekmece Municipality and Istanbul Energy. The workshop meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor of Küçükçekmece Municipality Faysal GÜLER, General Manager of Istanbul Enerji A.Ş. Yüksel YALÇIN, Yıldız Technical University Prof. Dr. Buket Ayşegül ÖZBAKIR, Yıldız Technical University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erhan KURTARIR, neighborhood mukhtars, public institutions and organization officials also attended.

In the program that started with the opening speech made by our General Manager Yüksel YALÇIN, we touched upon important issues for a Küçükçekmece that is more sensitive to climate change.

We touched on topics such as the Negative Effects of Climate Change, History of Climate Plans, Turkey Greenhouse Gas Emission Distribution, Küçükçekmece SECAP Process and Greenhouse Gas Emission Classes and Scopes.

Participants divided into groups within the scope of the meeting evaluated their ideas for the SECAP workshop under three main headings. Their ideas and opinions on Transportation, Energy and Waste were collected under one heading and tabulated by the table coordinator. The tables created by the participants were spoken by one person from each table and they expressed the ideas put forward at their tables so that all participants could hear them.
