Solar Power Plant Calculation
As Istanbul Energy, we participated in the 15th Solarex Istanbul Fair, where more than a thousand brands are represented with the participation of the world’s largest energy companies. We share our state-of-the-art technology systems and our vast experience in solar power plant installations at the Solarex Istanbul Fair, which will continue at the Istanbul Expo Center between April 6-8.
Our General Manager Mr. Yüksel Yalçın, who made statements in the first days of the fair, said, “Both manufacturers and strong actors of the sector take part in this fair. Here, we see technologies in solar, wind and other energy fields produced with the latest technology. At the same time, we can also see their monitoring and control systems, software and technology-supported studies of energy efficiency applications. In this way, both us and those who come to watch this fair constitute a reference monitoring area in order to plan their own energy road maps correctly.”
Stating that one of the reasons for climate change in the world is the dependence on fossil energy sources, our General Manager Mr. Yüksel Yalçın said, “The world’s policy and plan is now renewable energy transformation. Therefore, we are an element of this big mega system. Renewable energy programs are developing rapidly in Turkey, but we need to accelerate even more. The underlying factor behind the climate changes, floods and fires we see in the atmosphere today is due to the fact that we are late for renewable energy.”
“WE HAVE SO FAR INSTALLED OVER 10 MEGAWATTS OF SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS WITHIN THE BODY OF IBB”
Stating that as Istanbul Energy, they carry out turnkey installations of solar energy systems, especially in the industrial environment and corporate buildings, our General Manager Mr. Yüksel Yalçın said, “We have installed over 10 megawatts of solar energy systems within IMM so far. In addition, we have a Biomass Energy Plant in Silivri Seymen, which generates electricity from landfill gas with an installed power of 37 Megawatt energy generation capacity, and ISTAÇ, one of the subsidiary companies of IMM, has the largest waste incineration plant in Europe with an installed power of 85 Megawatt energy generation. We also have private sector applications. We are trying to be a motivational factor for the rapid realization of these transformations by informing corporate buildings, especially the industrial sector. Because we will all experience the cost of this together with the increase in carbon emissions and climate changes in the atmosphere.”
“WE MAKE MOBILE ENERGY SOLUTIONS AND DESIGNS”
Stating that there have been recent developments in energy technologies, our General Manager Mr. Yüksel Yalçın said, “One of these is the technological changes in the transportation sector. For example, electric vehicles are becoming widespread in Turkey. In the future, there will be a very rapid spread in the short and medium term. As Istanbul Energy, we provide solutions to electric vehicles at the point of charging with our Şarj Park brand. For this purpose, there are electric vehicle charging systems that we have built for our other subsidiary companies, corporate buildings and the private sector, especially the ISPARK organization of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. At this point, we also carry out turnkey installations. On the other hand, there are mobile energy solutions. Last February, we experienced an earthquake that had huge effects, and we all saw how life is negatively affected when there is no energy. Therefore, we design mobile energy solutions. In other words, there are systems that will provide uninterrupted lighting and charging in a tent with a solar panel that will fit in the trunk of a car. We are currently trying to introduce these technologies. As a country, we will only be able to achieve this when we give up fossil-based energy sources in energy consumption. For this, the only way of transformation is to switch to renewable energy areas.”
