Silivri Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (SIAD) Members visited Istanbul Energy’s Silivri Seymen Energy Production facility. After the presentation made by Yüksel Yalçın, Managing Director of Istanbul Energy, Participants were informed about the facility by making a technical field trip.
Istanbul Energy managing Director Yüksel Yalçın shared information with Silivri Industrialists’s and Businessmen’s Association Members on energy investments and management in industrial facilities. He shared information about the measures in industrial facilities where energy investments and energy costs are very important, to be taken within the organization and the studies to be carried out within this scope so that industrialists can manage their energy expenses with more technical methods and minimize their costs, especially after the energy hikes that have been on the agenda recently.
Invest in Solar Energy System Instead of Paying Bills!
Yalçın made evaluations about the building approach that produces its own energy, the contribution of solar energy systems to be installed on the roofs of industrial facilities to the electricity consumption of enterprises and what efficient methods would be for these investments.
In this context, following the establishment of an energy desk within the body of Silivri Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association, the issue of informing and raising awareness of industrialist members with wider participation was discussed at the meeting and it was decided to establish a cooperation protocol between Istanbul Energy and Silivri Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association.
When the facility is completed, it will be the World’s Largest Power Generation Facility Installed in a Single Center
Following the briefing by Yüksel Yalçın, Managing Director of Istanbul Energy, Istanbul Energy’s Biomass Power Plant facility in Silivri Seymen was visited with the participating members and, technical information was given on the flow of the facility and its technological investments. Yalçın provided detailed technical information to the participants about the plant which opened with a capacity of 17 MW in November 2020, to reach 25 MW in December and 37 MW as of October 2021. Yalçın stated that with the opening of the new service building in 2022, the facility will serve with a capacity of 45 MW and he shared the information that when the facility is completed, it will be the world’s largest power generation facility established in a single center with a capacity of 90 MW.
Members of industrialists’ and businessmen’s association who received information about the contribution of the latest technological investments to the energy capacity of the company and the conduct of studies on this subject, after getting information at the end of the conference, they left the facility.
