A Great Cooperation Between Istanbul Energy And Urtim On The Way To Renewable Energy

URTIM, a leading company in the field of formwork and scaffolding production, preferred Istanbul Energy for roof SPP service. A contract was signed on 06.10.2021 between the General Manager of Istanbul Energy A.S. Yüksel Yalçın and the Chairman of the Board of URTIM Serdar Urfalılar to initiate the process of transforming the URTIM into a green plant which generates its energy.

Thanks to the roof SPP project with an installed capacity of 540.36 kWp, electricity will be generated equivalent to the electricity needs of approximately 269 dwellings (910 people) annually, and it will also provide an environmental benefit equivalent to a carbon reduction made by 243 trees, prevention of 400 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and disposal of carbon emissions arising from 257 vehicles.

Istanbul Enerji A.S. tells its renewable energy investments to clustered industrial communities, businessperson associations, universities, and many technical non-governmental organizations, and tries to raise awareness concerning that not only industrial areas but also building and residential areas generate their energy. Within the scope of the European Green Deal, it ensures the reduction of energy obtained from fossil fuels and realizes green energy and green factory transformation projects.
