We continue to expand our energy network within local administrations. Following our collaborations with the municipalities of İzmir, Antalya, and Edirne, we have now signed a cooperation protocol with Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality on “Energy Investments and Management.”
Through the protocol signed by our General Manager Yüksel Yalçın and Tekirdağ Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Albayrak, Tekirdağ’s clean energy transition process has officially begun, aligned with its SECAP energy and environmental programs.
Continuing to Implement Projects That Will Carry Tekirdağ into the Future
Emphasizing the importance of the signed cooperation protocol, Tekirdağ Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Albayrak stated: “With the cooperation protocol we signed with İstanbul Enerji, technical and scientific studies in the field of energy technologies will be conducted, renewable and clean energy projects will be developed, R&D and technology development projects will be prepared, and visionary projects will be designed and implemented with the goal of zero carbon. We will continue to implement projects that will carry Tekirdağ into the future. I wish our cooperation protocol success.”

Our General Manager Yüksel Yalçın added: “Within the scope of the European Green Deal and the 2050 carbon-neutral target, local governments’ SECAP – Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans are of great importance. Through the SECAP Program specifically designed for municipalities, we implement clean energy applications aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
SECAP is a responsibility of local governments. Within this scope, under the guidance of academicians and with our expert engineering team, we provide consultancy to local administrations. Through this collaboration, we will collectively lead Tekirdağ toward a clean future. For more livable tomorrows, we stand by local governments on the path to clean energy.”
Yalçın also noted: “With these efforts, we are striving to expand the implementation of the SECAP Program across Turkey. İstanbul Enerji is also an energy efficiency consultancy company authorized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey and is one of the leading firms in this field.”
Clean energy initiatives will be carried out within the framework of the 2050 carbon-neutral target under the collaboration between İstanbul Enerji and Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality.
