SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan)

Aiming to reduce and, in the long term, eliminate the adverse impacts of global climate change, SECAP is a strategic plan developed on a global scale. Within the scope of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement and the EU Green Deal targets, SECAP is a local action program that shapes the future of cities, committed to by local governments through signing the Covenant of Mayors.

Local Governments Green Transition Programs

Within the scope of SECAP programs, local governments prepare the "Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan" for their areas of responsibility. In line with current international commitments, these plans aim to reduce carbon emissions by 40% to 55% by 2030 and achieve a vision of a carbon-neutral city by 2050. The developed strategies are implemented with the full participation and cooperation of all stakeholders across the city.
