Architectural lighting is an important urban practice that highlights the aesthetic, functional, and environmental values of historical and cultural structures as well as the city's iconic landmarks. Proper lighting designs accentuate the architectural character of structures while adding value to the night appearance of the urban identity.
Within the scope of the work carried out with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Energy Management and Lighting, İstanbul Enerji implements architectural lighting projects that contribute to the preservation of Istanbul's historical and cultural heritage. In this context, while maintenance and repair works of existing lighting systems are carried out regularly, renovation and modernization applications are also maintained in structures where needed.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Presidential and Office Building, Fatih Fire Department Directorate Building and Station Building, Galata Bridge, Kılıç Ali Paşa Mosque, Bus Terminal Mosque, Edirnekapı Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Nuruosmaniye Mosque, Laleli Mosque, Tayyare Martyrs' Monument, and Baruthane Imperial Pavilion are among the prominent projects whose lighting design and implementation have been carried out by İstanbul Enerji. Through these efforts, Istanbul's historical and cultural heritage is carried into the future with an aesthetic and sustainable lighting approach.
