The Şarköy Municipality Solar Power Plant, which became operational in October 2021, has an installed capacity of 5.4 kW. The total installation area of the plant is approximately 30 m².
The Şarköy Municipality Solar Power Plant, which became operational in October 2021, has an installed capacity of 5.4 kW. The total installation area of the plant is approximately 30 m². Eighteen 300 W monocrystalline panels were installed on the roof of the Şarköy Municipality Social Facility to raise awareness about “Renewable Energy.” The system was set up to supply the internal electricity needs of the social facility.
With the 18 installed 300 W panels, the 5.4 kW solar energy system generates 7.3 MWh of electricity annually, which is used to meet the social facility’s internal energy demand.
The Şarköy Municipality Solar Power Plant can cover the annual electricity needs of 8 households and prevents 3.4 tons of CO2 emissions per year. This is equivalent to removing 3 cars from traffic or planting 88 trees, providing a significant environmental benefit.
