The Metro Istanbul A.Ş. Metris Station Solar Power Plant, which became operational in April 2017, has an installed capacity of 8.4 kW. The total installation area of the plant is approximately 50 m².
The Metro Istanbul A.Ş. Metris Station Solar Power Plant, which became operational in April 2017, has an installed capacity of 8.4 kW. The total installation area of the plant is approximately 50 m². A total of 84 polycrystalline flexible 100 W photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on the roofs of the 6 waiting platforms at Metris Station. With this project, implemented under the “Green Stop” concept, the electricity generated is used to meet the station’s internal energy needs.
The Metro Istanbul Metris Station Solar Power Plant generates enough electricity to meet the annual energy needs of 7 households and prevents 5.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year. This is equivalent to removing 5 cars from traffic or planting 147 trees, providing an equivalent environmental benefit.
