In cooperation with İSKİ and İstanbul Enerji A.Ş., the installation of solar power plants with a total capacity of 2.7 MW has commenced at seven different İSKİ locations.
These sites include İSKİ Eşref Bitlis Paşa Reservoir and Pumping Station, İSKİ Esenyalı Pumping Station, Ferhat Paşa Pumping Station, Kağıthane Treatment and Pumping Station, İSKİ Kartal Pumping Station, İSKİ Battalgazi Pumping Station, and İSKİ Büyükçekmece Treatment Facility, covering a total area of 31,900 m².
As of February 2020, the operational solar plants include a total of 8,690 monocrystalline 310 W solar panels, 19 string inverters of 100 kW, 3 string inverters of 50 kW, 3 string inverters of 27.6 kW, 1 central inverter of 536 kW, and a supporting structure weighing 178 tons with 6,232 concrete mounts. Additionally, a dual-axis solar tracking system (tracker) with 20 monocrystalline 310 W panels was installed in the garden of the İSKİ General Directorate.
These solar power plants, established to meet İSKİ’s energy needs from clean and renewable sources, generate enough electricity to cover the annual consumption of 2,300 households and prevent 1,850 tons of CO2 emissions per year. This is equivalent to removing 1,500 cars from traffic in terms of environmental benefits.
We are striving to implement energy investments and programs in line with sustainable, technological, and clean energy policies, primarily with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, as well as the public and private sectors.
