A 9 kWp solar power plant has been installed over the parking area of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Energy Management and Lighting Directorate’s Bayrampaşa campus. The total installed area is 50 m².
A 9 kWp solar power plant has been installed over the parking area of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Energy Management and Lighting Directorate’s Bayrampaşa campus, with a total installed area of 50 m².
The 9 kWp solar power plant consists of 30 mono-PERC crystalline photovoltaic panels of 300 Wp and is equipped with one 8.2 kW inverter. The electricity generated by this solar power plant is used at the electric vehicle charging stations installed within the parking area.
This solar power plant generates enough electricity to meet the annual energy needs of 8 households and prevents 6.1 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, which is equivalent to removing 5 vehicles from traffic or planting 158 trees, providing significant environmental benefits.
