İstanbul Enerji is making a significant contribution to Turkey’s green future by preparing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP) across the country. Through our work with provincial and district municipalities from Edirne to Ardahan, we analyze current greenhouse gas emission levels, set emission reduction targets, and develop strategies to achieve them. In this context, we provide sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solutions, helping cities become more resilient and better prepared for climate change.
**Resilience Against Climate Conditions and Disaster Risks The SECAPs we prepare include a detailed assessment of cities in terms of climate conditions and disaster risks. We evaluate the estimated impacts of greenhouse gas emissions on the climate and determine the necessary adaptation measures for cities to cope with climate change. This helps cities become more resilient and prepared for climate-related challenges. Measures such as infrastructure improvements, projects enhancing resilience to natural disasters, and the expansion of urban green spaces contribute to building climate-resilient cities.
**Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction and Climate Adaptation Strategies Our sustainable energy and climate action plans analyze cities’ energy consumption habits and existing energy infrastructure to define emission reduction strategies. This promotes the use of renewable energy sources, implements energy efficiency projects, and develops sustainable transportation solutions. Additionally, awareness campaigns and educational programs are organized to reduce energy consumption and increase public consciousness about sustainability.
**Contribution to Turkey’s Green Future Through the reports and strategic plans we have prepared so far, we have supported cities in defining sustainable energy policies and climate action strategies.
