İstanbul Enerji and URTİM Partner for Rooftop Solar Energy Project
Leading mold and scaffolding manufacturer URTİM has chosen İstanbul Enerji for its rooftop solar power plant (GES) services. On October 6, 2021, a contract was signed between İstanbul Enerji AŞ General Manager Yüksel Yalçın and URTİM Board Chairman Serdar Urfalılar, initiating URTİM’s transformation into a green factory that generates its own energy.
The rooftop GES project, with an installed capacity of 540.36 kWp, is expected to produce electricity equivalent to the annual needs of approximately 269 households (910 people). It will also provide environmental benefits equivalent to the carbon reduction of 243 trees (preventing 400 tons of CO₂ emissions) and offsetting the carbon emissions of 257 vehicles.
İstanbul Enerji AŞ educates clustered industrial communities, business associations, universities, and various technical NGOs about renewable energy investments. The company aims to raise awareness not only for industrial areas but also for buildings and residential zones to produce their own energy. In line with the European Green Deal, İstanbul Enerji promotes the reduction of fossil-fuel-based energy, implements green energy initiatives, and supports the transformation of factories into sustainable, green facilities.
