İstanbul Enerji AŞ, within the scope of its cooperation with Çorlu Leather Specialized and Mixed OIZ (Organized Industrial Zone), will conduct a detailed energy audit at the administrative building and treatment facility with İstanbul Enerji’s team of expert engineers and will prepare projects to increase efficiency. İstanbul Enerji General Manager Yüksel Yalçın and Çorlu Leather Specialized and Mixed OIZ Regional Manager Halil Hız signed the EED (Energy Efficiency Consultancy) service agreement. During the signing ceremony, it was also agreed to cooperate on energy management topics covering energy management, self-sufficient buildings, the OIZ’s transition to renewable energy sources, and the energy action plan.
İstanbul Enerji AŞ General Manager Yüksel Yalçın stated, “Alongside our commercial obligations in the corporate field, in line with our organization’s mission, we will assist in preparing the energy action plan within the framework of green transformation. We will provide information and consultancy services about renewable energy investments to the OIZ and the firms within it. With all these efforts, our goal is to carry out the transition from fossil to renewable energy together with the OIZs.”
Highlighting the importance of OIZs establishing their own energy management offices, Yalçın added, “We recommend that OIZs set up energy management offices to plan their energy management and investments more effectively.”
Çorlu Leather Specialized and Mixed OIZ Regional Manager Halil Hız stated, “With this agreement, we will manage the energy of the OIZ buildings together with İstanbul Enerji. In addition, we will create a management plan for the OIZ firms’ transition to renewable energy, organizing and implementing this transition in a more detailed manner.”
