Metro Istanbul Metris Station Solar Power Plant

The installed power of Metro Istanbul A.Ş. Metris Station Solar Power Plant that entered into service in April 2017 is 8,4 kW. The total installation area of the plant is approximately 50 m2. Totally 84 polycrystal photovoltaic solar panels of 100 W have been placed on the roof of the 6 holding platform located in Metris station. The electrical power generated from this work where the concept of “Green Station” is applied is used for the internal requirement of the station.

Metro Istanbul Metris Station Solar Power Plant has a power that could respond the electricity requirement of 7 households and prevents 5,8 tons of CO2 emission annually. This provides environmental benefit equivalent to withdrawal of 5 vehicles from the traffic and planting 147 trees.
