Historical Stone Bridges Of Sinan The Architect

The application of lighting design of Bridges of Suleiman the Magnificent and the bridges located in Büyükçekmece and Küçükçekmece counties of the province of Istanbul has been performed by our directorate in harmony with their architecture and historical value.

The bridge constructed by Sinan, the Architect on the point where Büyükçekmece Lake combines with Marmara Sea on a historical trade route connecting Istanbul to Europe  is located at a distance of 36 km to Istanbul.

This masterpiece created by combining end to end 4 separate bridges with different sizes and lengths to one another with artificial islands is 635,57 meters long and 7,17 meters wide.  Totally 600 lighting components were used for lighting the stone bridges located in the county of Büyükçekmece. The lighting design was made in the manner that the under belts are of amber color, the deaf surfaces and walking paths are sun light color. All armatures were specially designed in the manner that they do not damage the historical structure and assembled with the assembly components produced.
