Beyazit Fire Tower

Beyazıt Tower is a tower of 85 meters height which was constructed for the first time in 1749 as a wooden structure in the district of Beyazıt in Istanbul for the purpose of monitoring and reporting the fires. The height of the tower has reached up to 118 meters with the additions made.

The tower is used for informing the Istanbulites using its lighting components that could change color and the automation system designed specially. Accordingly in Beyazıt Tower;

The blue indicates that the weather will be cloudless on the next day,

The yellow indicates that the weather will be FOGGY on the next day,

The green indicates that the weather will be RAINY on the next day, and

The red indicates that the weather will be SNOWY on the next day.
