Nuruosmaniye Mosque

Nuruosmaniye Mosque is the first baroque  mosque constructed in Istanbul Çemberlitaş district.  It is located in the entrance of the Grand Bazaar. It was constructed from 1748 to 1755.

This dome which is one of the biggest domes used in the Ottoman mosques is carried by the belts seated on the walls; the main dome surrounded by 32 windows has a diameter of 26 m.

The mosque was lighted using 3000K color hotness armatures. Apart from the lighting made in the manner to reveal the architectural properties of the main dome, minarets and belts, general and homogenous lighting has been targeted in the yard. Totally 300 armatures with different power and lens properties were used.
