Melen Hydroelectric Power Plant Project (under construction) is located in the province of Sakarya, county of Kocaali; in 170 km east of Istanbul Strait, in 25 km northwest of Düzce city and 70 km northeast of Adapazarı city.

A preliminary license of installed power of 45 MW has been received from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) within the scope of this project. Later Melen HPP Water Usage Right Agreement was signed on 10.03.2017 with the Directorate General of State Water Affairs.

Upon the delivery of the place to our company after completion of the Dam infrastructure by the Directorate General of State Water Affairs, the processes of engineering, consultancy and construction of Melen Hydroelectric Power Plant project shall be continued.

When Melen Hydroelectric Power Plant project is completed, it shall have a power that could respond the annual electricity requirement of approximately 110.000 households and this generation prevents 86.000 tons of CO2 emission annually. This will provide environmental benefit equivalent to elimination of the carbon emission of 136.000 vehicles in the traffic or planting 4.250.000 trees.
